Consequently, I started taking lessons in vocal jazz (with Anne Hartkamp). To make a long story short, that resulted in studies at the Amsterdam Conservatory.

In the course of the studies (with Lydia van Dam, Annett Andriesen and Frans Lambour, to name a few) I discovered my passion for composing. The spontaneous idea of arranging a Hungarian folk song for my jazz quartet 'Berlansky' led to arrangements for big band and for orchestra. And so it came that, concurrent to my vocal education, I started a major in jazz composition / arrangement (with Peter Herborn).

After graduating with honors in vocal jazz, the recording of my debut album, "Growin' Up" (produced by Andreas Kolinski - published by "JazzSick Records"), followed in 2006.

Debut album 2006: Growin' Up.
